CRAFT KITS
If you missed the RSVP deadline or want to use your own supplies, this is what you'll need for each class.
Cedar hearts
- 8 strips of cedar half an inch wide and 10 inches long
- 3 ft waxy sinew
- 2 clothes pins
- a container for soaking cedar
- damp towel or other damp work surface
Quarter bags
- 25 yds of super bulky weight yarn (we are using Wool-Ease)
- cardboard cut to ~8 by 5 inches with ~14 slots on opposite sides of the cardboard (it needs to have the same number of slots on each side)
- 100 yds superbulky yarn (we'll be using Buttercream or Wool-Ease)
- size 15 circular needles, 18" or 24" long
Medallion beading
- Size 10 or 11 beads in several colors
- Size 10 or 11 needles
- 2-4 inch pattern on stiff white felt
- Stiff black felt (for backing)
- Size 00 or D thread
- Beeswax
- Felt beading mat
- Sinew or leather for the necklace
- Hot glue gun or industrial strength glue
Rattle carving
- A rattle blank that's been glued together with the rattle pieces inside
- Detail carving knife
- Sandpaper, fine-grained
- Black halibut/fish cord (approx. 1 yard)
- Tracing carbon paper
