Join Leslie Eastwood, Samish Elder, and Denise Crowe, Samish Education Program Manager, for a class on how to best grow and use a wide range of native plants found in Samish traditional territory. We will guide you in how to assess the growth conditions of your site, connect you with sources for starts and seeds, and explore cultural uses (food, medicine, materials) combined with cultivation needs for many of our favorite native trees, shrubs, and herbs. From western red cedar to sword fern and salmonberry, and so many more . . .

Open to Samish citizens and their households. When RSVPing, please indicate if you plan to attend virtually or in-person.

In-Person Location: Chelángen Building (#2) at the Summit Park campus, 8327 Summit Park Rd, Anacortes, WA 98221
