Samish Tribal Council issued a Declaration of Tribal Emergency in response to COVID-19 on March 12, 2020, out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our citizens, employees, and community partners in the face of this pandemic. Tribal leadership has been closely following guidance issued by WA State Department of Health, and our regional health departments.
The Tribe plans to offer a Virtual General Council meeting online, voting age (18 by June 27th) citizen participants will be muted but will be able to view the presentations, and submit questions in advance of the meeting for Council.
Samish citizens who wish to submit questions for Tribal Council response during a pre-recorded Question & Answer time must submit the question in writing to: firstname.lastname@example.org with subject heading Question for Tribal Council. Questions need to be submitted by end of business on June 15, 2021.
