Indian Child Welfare

About the Indian Child Welfare Program

The main objective of the ICW program is to guarantee the well-being, safety, and welfare of youth enrolled in the ICW Program. This is achieved by delivering culturally suitable, easily accessible services and assistance to these young individuals and their families. These efforts are meant to protect the young people's best interests and bring families back together when possible.

Eligibility

The Indian Child Welfare program is non-voluntary. Program participants must be eligible or enrolled Samish citizens and have open or active cases involving state child welfare or protection.
