About Samish Social Services

Mission Statement

The mission of the Samish Social Services Department is to empower families and individuals toward obtaining self-sufficiency and improving their well-being through the cooperation of tribal programs, of the community, and the cooperation of other service providers.

Program Services:

Social Services offers a variety of programs to promote healthy families and self-sufficiency of the Samish tribe.

  • Indian Child Welfare (ICW) and Family Support Services
  • Kinship
  • Victims of Crime (VOC)

About Social Services:

Samish Social Services is part of the larger Health & Human Services Department offering assistance and advocacy to tribal citizens. Verification of tribal enrollment is a requirement of participation. Some services are subject to availability of funds and may not be available year-round. The HHS Department also offers Health & Diabetes Education, Vocational Rehabilitation and Housing Services. Please inquire for details.
